The app has no account, no login, and no telemetry. It does not phone home, does not report what you write, and does not track how you use it. Your scripts are ordinary files on your own Mac.
There is no AI in Constructure. It does not send your writing to any AI service, no model of any kind runs inside it, and nothing you write is used to train anything, ours or anyone else's.
Your writing can leave your computer in exactly two ways, and both are switched off until you turn them on: iPhone sync, and grammar checking. Each is explained in full below — what is sent, where it goes, and what is kept.
Constructure Screenwriter has no analytics, no crash reporting, no usage tracking and no account system. There is nothing to sign into. Your licence is verified entirely on your own machine, using a cryptographic key built into the app — it never contacts us to check. You can use Constructure with the network turned off indefinitely.

to put them. We have no copy and no way to obtain one.
Sync is off by default and only runs for scripts you explicitly turn it on for. When you do:
If you would rather nothing left your machine at all, leave both sync and grammar checking switched off. Every other feature works without them.
Constructure can check your grammar using LanguageTool, an outside service. It is off by default. You turn it on in View › Check Grammar, where the menu item names the service so you do not have to read this page to know where the text goes.

Scene headings, character names and transitions are never sent.A correction, stated plainly. Until 9 August 2026 grammar checking was switched on by default, with no setting to turn it off, and this page did not mention it — it said scripts you never sync are never sent anywhere. That was wrong. If you used Constructure before that date, paragraphs of prose you typed were sent to LanguageTool as described above. Nothing was ever sent to us, nothing was stored by us, and nothing was used to train anything. It is now off unless you choose it.
Purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and your email address. We never see or store your card number — it does not pass through our systems. We receive your email address and what you bought, so that we can issue and re-send your licence.
Your licence is emailed via Resend, an email delivery service. They process your address in order to deliver it.
We keep purchase records — email address, what was bought, when — because tax law requires us to. We do not sell, rent or share this with anyone, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
We count visits to see whether anyone is finding the site. It is deliberately built to avoid identifying you:
The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs as any web host does.
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it — email us and we will action it. Since we hold almost nothing beyond purchase records, this is usually a short conversation. Tax law requires us to retain proof of sale, so purchase records may be kept even after other data is deleted.
To delete synced script data immediately, turn sync off and stop using that Room ID — it is erased after 90 days of inactivity. Ask us if you want it removed sooner.
Constructure is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. Material changes affecting how we handle your data will be noted on the site.
